How It Started
Wapfi was born out of a deep desire to support waste pickers and liberate them from poverty. Seeing their struggles firsthand, we recognized both the urgent need for change and the immense potential within the waste recycling sector. With this vision, we joined forces to create WAPFI—a platform designed to empower waste pickers, bridge financial gaps, and unlock new opportunities for sustainable growth.
Our Mission is to empower waste pickers and recyclers by providing financial inclusion, market access, micro-loans, and digital tools that enhance their livelihoods and drive a more sustainable waste management ecosystem.
